Subject: missing parody

Hey! Just checking out the parodies and noticed mine was missing. Not a
surprise, it was a long time ago that I posted it. Still, in the spirit
of unabridgedness, here's my 'lighten-up, be happy' version of February:

February (Revisited)
Richard 'Dahl

I found some keys in the water, I looked in,
They'd frozen halfway down in the ice,
I ran so quickly and caught up with their owners,
I saved their engagement, and everyone was happy, and
They said that now they planned to marry
So give thanks to February

First we forgot that we planned to do chores last night
Then we forgot that we made plans at all
Then we forgot what plans are altogether
And I blessed you for your sneezing and forgetting
And the night was long and warm and fuzzy
I can live with February

You know I think Christmas was a warm red glow
Sealed up like a card, we gave presents without warning
And then the snow
And then the snow came, we were always out skiing,
And we'd drop to sleep exhausted
Then we'd wake up and go skiing

And February was so long, though it's shorter still than March
Or any other month, even in Leap Year
You stopped and listened and you said, "You said something,"
I said, "What? I said nothing," and you said, "yes, you did,"
And I tried to remember, but said, "no, you said I said,"
You said, "I said? Says you..."

The sun was burning as we drove to the ice cream store
My new lover has a house in the Keys
And when we got there, well we just couldn't pick which one
Because you never know what the best kind will be
So we'll bring home pints of Ben & Jerry's
I'm one up on February

Enjoy!
