Subject: I owe her
I have never had a way with computers,
but the notes that Tom Neff writes make me wish that I
could;
he tells me that my ring page isn't working,
if I could fix it, oh I, I would.
Here where I work from,
we just can't be bothered,
we're busy trying to mess with things
that are not your concern.
We make our bits for Cassini
but don't mention it,
'cause flames from listers burn.
La la, la la la, la la, la la-a-a-a la, la la, la la.
How I long to write just a little spoof,
to make things feel just a little more
light.
But I fear that to have your spoof fall flat
is to fall from a great and gruesome height.
Oh I asked Kerry about it,
her list song had just left her,
she sat down with the laurels that the spoof queen gets to wear.
She said, "Oh that thing? I just scribbled it."
When I'm struggling talent like that is unfair.
I owe her, I owe her...
Once I had it all, I gave it up
to make a fool of myself, for your fun just 'cause I can.
For you I post this far, across the Pond,
kilometers above the limit and with no way to make this bit scan.
Last night I went running through the screen doors of discression,
I woke up from a nightmare that I could not bear to see:
Sally was dancing in a back to front wet t-shirt,
but she would not dry off to dance with me...
[As if dancing with someone in a clammy t-shirt]
Urgh ugh urgh urgh ahh ahh ahh I owe her...
